MCFID Accessibility Statement

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to everybody.

We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and aim to meet current web standards and guidelines.

The web pages in this site are designed to be easy to use, where information is structured in a meaningful way, headers are used throughout, and navigation links are ordered so that you can find or skip them easily.

Web Accessibility Initiative

Our website strives to achieve ‘AA’ level accessibility conformance as set out by the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG 2.2).

The WCAG 2.2 explains how to make web content more. By complying with these guidelines, we will help make the web more user friendly for everyone.

Browser Compatibility

The site displays correctly in current browsers and is compatible with the majority of browsers released since 2005. It uses standard extensible Hyper Text Markup Language/Cascading Style Sheets code, meaning any future browsers should also display correctly.

Colours

We have checked the website’s font and background colour combinations to ensure that all information is clearly displayed.

There is an option for each user to increase or decrease the font size being used on the site depending on their browser:

·       in Microsoft Edge, select the 3 dots symbol in the top right of the screen, and then Zoom;

·       in Firefox, click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner, and use the "+" and "-" buttons to adjust the zoom level;

·       in Safari click on the large A button to increase the size up to two steps;

·       in Chrome, select the 3 dots symbol in the top right of the screen, and then Zoom.

Print-friendly

The ‘print’ option can remove navigation from the printed page as well as background colours allowing you to print only the information you want in an easily readable format. This option can be found in the “Options” section of most modern browsers.

Style Sheets

This site uses Cascading Style Sheets for visual layout. If your browser device does not support stylesheets at all, the use of structured semantic mark-up ensures that the content of each page is still readable and clearly structured.

Scripting

Certain applications within this site are dependent on JavaScript.

Limitations

  • Keyboard/Screen reader navigation: This is not yet accessible/fully tested on parts of the website.

  • Images: We are currently working through images to add contextual
    alternative text descriptions.

  • Forms: We are currently working on accessibility validation and error handling focus.

Maintaining Accessibility

We aim to ensure that all content published on this website is fully accessible.

We will aim to author more user-friendly, customer-focused content.

We are committed to maintaining and monitoring the accessibility of this website. As part of this process, we welcome any comments, suggestions, or details of problems encountered by users. If you encounter any issues, please contact us.
